Artists who create socially-engaged art often have difficulty showing their work in mainstream outlets due to potentially controversial content and subject matter. Because most art is about communication, when work is not shown, viewers cannot respond—the circle of communication is broken. This website invites artists and viewers to examine global issues from a visual perspective.
Art is a creative act in spite of the destruction of war. Art is a hopeful act in the face of poverty and desperation. Art is a healing act in the midst of a global environmental crisis.
